Department of Biotechnology, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune cordially invites you to participate in the National Conference on International Conference On Disease Biology: Diagnostics and Therapeutics (DBDT-2020) scheduled to be organized during March 4 – 6th, 2020.
'Health and disease' have remained a continues discourse since the inception of 'understanding' in human beings. The past few decades' advancement in technology, diagnosis and therapeutics has made disruptive innovations and improved the quality of life and disease-free survival against variety of human diseases. Nature on one hand assures life to every creature on the planet including the disease-causing microorganism, while humans, on the other hand had discovered the disease circumventing remedial approaches and the battle is on. The outcome of human genome project and the advent of technologies like next generation sequencing (NGS) gave a strong impetus towards molecular understanding of pathophysiology, disease progression and made a value addition in the treatment modalities. In fact, it was NGS technology which unravelled the genomic landscapes of variety of human diseases which otherwise was considered as a science fiction. We are moving towards personalized medicine at the same time we are experiencing a 'Target Rich-Lead Poor' scenario of drug development. On the eve of increasing drug resistance, disease complexities and lack of cost-effective medicines, there is need to discuss these issues on collective and collaborative platforms. This International Conference is intended for providing a common platform for scientist who are involved in studying molecular mechanisms of different human diseases, diagnosis, drug development against variety of human ailments. The event also aims at building a network, sharing expertise, and facilities in the area of 'Disease Biology: Diagnostics and Therapeutics' and pave ways for human disease alleviation.
